Isabel Haase
Isabel is a Doctoral Student and Junior Research Fellow at the Net Zero within the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich. Her research examines the effectiveness of carbon pricing approaches, focusing on carbon crediting and emission trading systems. In addition to her role at the Max Planck Institute, Isabel is also a researcher in the Energy & Climate research division of the Oeko-Institut in Berlin.
Isabel has several years of experience in research and policy consulting, having worked on projects related to national, EU and international climate policy. Throughout her career, she has delved into a wide range of topics, including international cooperation on climate change, indicator-based evaluation of European climate policy and the European Emissions Trading System. At the Oeko-Institut, she focuses on international carbon markets, particularly the assessment of carbon credit quality.
Isabel holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, as well as an M.A. in Sustainability Economics and Management from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. During her studies, she spent time abroad in the Dominican Republic and Brazil.
Outside of work, Isabel enjoys dancing salsa, cooking, and spending time with her cats.
